For DNC to justify how inspecting only a sample of the penetrations on the reactor pressure vessel head provides reasonable assurance of continued integrity. In addition, DNC will explain the methodology to be utilized for the non-destructive examination of the welds. This activity will be performed in response to NRC Bulletin 2001-01, Circumferential Cracking of Reactor Pressure Vessel Head Penetration Nozzles, during their upcoming refueling outage.

PARTICIPANTS:*

Participants of the meeting include members of the Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation (NRR) and the Office of Research (RES).
