January 10, 2002 Mr. Oliver D. Kingsley, President Exelon Nuclear Exelon Generation Company, LLC 200 Exelon Way, KSA 3-E Kennett Square, PA 19348
SUBJECT:
PEACH BOTTOM ATOMIC POWER STATION, UNITS 2 AND 3 -
WITHDRAWAL OF AMENDMENT REQUEST RE: OSCILLATION POWER RANGE MONITOR REACTOR SCRAM FUNCTION (TAC NOS. MB1165 AND MB1166)
Dear Mr. Kingsley:
By letter dated February 8, 2001, Exelon Generation Company, LLC, applied for amendments to Facility Operating License Nos. DPR-44 and DPR-56 for Peach Bottom Atomic Power Station, Units 2 and 3. The proposed change would have modified the facility and the facility Technical Specifications by replacing the interim corrective actions for thermal-hydraulic power oscillations with an automatic reactor scram from the output of the oscillation power range monitor. Subsequently, by letter dated December 13, 2001, Exelon Generation Company withdrew the amendment request.
The Commission has filed the enclosed Notice of Withdrawal of Application for Amendments to Facility Operating Licenses with the Office of the Federal Register for publication. The associated TAC Nos. MB1165 and MB1166 are being closed.
Sincerely,
/RA/
