Dear Mr. Davis:
This is in response to your letter dated December 14, 2000, in which you forwarded NEI 99-08 (Original), Industry Guidelines for Nuclear Power Plant Access Authorization Programs.
The staff is in the process of reviewing your proposed document. Due to competing priorities in the safeguards area, the earliest we plan to complete our review is August 2001. Upon completion of our review, we welcome the opportunity to discuss the access authorization document and our comments with you and interested stakeholders during a public meeting.
