Thickness Confirmation on C-198, revised Good morning, Mr. Charette!
I received your response letter dated January 30, 2001. However, I need the following information to complete my review on the Model C-198. Please provide your responses within 30 days:
- 1. Please provide the rationale for reducing the inner and outer tubes thickness from 0.05" to 0.025".
- 2. Are all prototype testings performed with reduced thickness of 0.025" for inner and outer tubes?
- 3. You have requested the use of wafers in the inner capsule. Please describe the wafer source manufacturing process, configuration, performance, and material specifications of the wafer. Please provide the technical drawings indicating wafer arrangements in the inner capsule.
- 4. In the bending testing, was the spacer in the middle used? If yes, provide the test results without the spacer and their leak test results because the spacer is not used for the pellets or wafers source types.
- 5. Please provide the working life of C-198, which is the physical life of the source, not the half life or the economic life.
