SUBJECT:
DIRECT FINAL RULE TO AMEND AND REVISE 10 CFR PARTS 34, 36 AND 39 TO APPROVE THE USE OF NEW PERSONNEL DOSIMETRY DEVICES On September 27, 2000, the EDO approved and signed the final rule on the above subject.
Please implement the EDOs action by arranging publication of the attached direct final rule and proposed rule in the Federal Register. The daily staff note to the Commission indicates that the final rule should not be forwarded to OFR before October 6, 2000.
Attached are the Weekly Report to the Commission; the Approved for Publication; SBREFA forms; press release; and the congressional letters.
Please note that OFR needs to add the effective date (75 days after publication) to pages 1 and 5 of the direct final rule and page 2 of the proposed rule. Also, comment close date (30 days after publication) is needed on pages 1 and 5 of the direct final rule and pages 1 and 2 of the proposed rule.
