Opportunity to share efforts, schedules, and priorities with staff members.

BWROG Appendix R Discuss status of NRC review of Appendix R SRV/LPS and Guidance documents.

BWROG Loose Parts Monitoring LTR transmitted to NRC on July 31, 2000 that justifies elimination of LPMs for the 15 BWRs that have applicable licensing requirements. We will be requesting the NRC to commit to a schedule for reviewing this report.

BWROG Risk Initiatives The BWROG is actively involved in identifying criteria and constraints to support implementation of the Maintenance Rule (a)(4) requirements, working with ASME and ANS relative to their PRA standards development, and developing a viable RIP50 Option program.

Option 2 - Risk Informed 10CFR50 Review status of Option 2 Pilot so the NRC is aware of our status of choosing the systems and BWROG approval of doing the work.

NRC/BWR OWNERS GROUP MANAGEMENT MEETING - September 13, 2000 AGENDA RITS - Transition Model The BWR 4 generic model is complete and Initiative 1 (end states) is in draft form. The BWROG is considering submitting an Initiative 3 table similar to the CEOG table.

DC Motors Results of the August 30th Meeting BWROG PASS, H2 RECOMBINERS, H2/O2 MONITORS Status of BWROG programs.

BWROG RCIC, Loss of Safety Function The BWROG is concerned the NRC is using the Technical Interface Agreement (TIA) process to set policy. The RCIC loss of safety function is typically not reportable, but several Owners have been required by NRC inspectors to report RCIC availability.

BWROG Fluence Calculations An NRC technical review is requiring BWRs to perform revised neutron transport calculations in support of licensing change requests. There has been no generic notice of a problem with the previously approved methodology to the industry.
