Dear Mr. Davis:
This is to inform you that disposition has been made on thirty-eight travelers containing proposed changes to the Standard Technical Specification (STS) NUREGs made by the NEI Technical Specification Task Force (TSTF). Those travelers that were approved between the period of August 1999 to present, are as follows: TSTFs - 017, R.2; - 036, R.4; - 037, R.2;
- 051, R.2; - 052, R.3; - 125, R.1; - 207, R.5; - 212, R.1 - 239; - 276, R.2; - 283, R.3; - 286, R.2;
- 306, R.2; - 308, R.1; - 324, R.1; - 339, R.2; - 340, R.3; - 348; - 349, R.1; - 350; - 351; - 352, R.1; - 353; - 361, R.1; - 362; - 363; - 364 and - 365. The following TSTF's had approved edits incorporated: - 242, R.1; - 273, R.2; - 297, R.1 and 322, R.2.
TSTF 330, R.1 was modified after discussion with WOG and NRC Plant Systems Branch which recommends the following:
- 1. adding a suggested explanation to the traveler regarding the conditions that a licensee must confirm in order to adopt the revised action requirements;
- 2. adding a required action to verify temperature within the upper UHS temperature limit with a one-hour periodic completion time;
- 3. modify the Condition statement to omit the upper temperature limit, which is now addressed by the added action requirement; and
- 4. editorial changes to both the action table, the reviewer's note, and the associated Bases.
