On October 15, Salem 1 was manually shutdown due to a steam generator level control valve failure. The unit was returned on-line on October 19.
On October 29, power was reduced to approximately 79% due to solar magnetic disturbance, returning to 100% power on October 31.
- At the end of the month, Salem 1 completed 12 days of continuous on-line operation.
