50-272 Salem 1 05/10/02 R. Ritzman (856) 339-1445 Summary Of Monthly Operatinq Experience Salem 1 began the month at 100% power.

On April 17, power was reduced to approximately 74% due to the 13A and 13B circulators being out of service. 13A circulator was out of service for planned maintenance. The 13B circulator waterbox became bio-fouled and was taken out of service for cleaning. Power was restored to approximately 100% on April 19.

"* On April 22, power was reduced to approximately 60% due to 12 Steam Generator Feed Pump being removed from service. Power was returned to 100% later that day.

"* At the end of the month, Salem 1 completed 48 days of continuous operation.
