Letter from NRC (L. R. Wharton) to OPPD (T. L. Patterson) dated April 17, 1996
Dear Mr~. Fowler:
Subject:
Request for Probabilistic Risk Assessment (PRA) Data Enclosed please find the diskette containing the Probabilistic Risk Assessment (PRA) model for the Fort Calhoun Station (FCS). As requested in Reference 2, the Omaha Public Power District (0 PPD) is providing the Level 1 PRA data and information needed to develop a database for FCS for inclusion in the NRC's
" library" of plants. This model is being supplied for conversion in accordance with recent conversations between Mr. H. Alan Hackerott (0 PPD) and Idaho National Engineering Laboratory (INEL) staff members.
The enclosed diskette contains computer files that were compressed using PKZip*.
These computer files are as follows:
,mz File Name File Description B8 gg MASTER.CAF CAFTA fault tree model MASTER.BE CAFTA basic event data base 3d MASTER.GT CAFTA gate description data base 58 MASTER.TC CAFTA type code data base T
MUTEXC1 Mutually Exclusive Events kW]
b G1 FLAG.CAF Flag file for quantification of LOCA Sequences OE G2 FLAG.CAF Flag file for quantification of Transient Event Sequences QUANFLAG.XLS Flag file and Success Sequence Guidance I
RECRULE.TXT Recovery rule file for use with the EPRI QREC0VER automated recovery program D

o Mr. Richard D. Fowler LIC-96-0080 Page 2 The enclosed model is the most current one available However, the results are subject to change as internal and external independent reviews are completed.
No major changes are expected to be made to the structure of the fault tree as a result of these independent reviews. Any changes will most likely be to the human failure event probabilities in the data base.
The final values will be provided as soon as they are available.
As discussed with INEL personnel, OPPD plans to provide supporting documentation such as the Initiating Event / Accident Sequence Report, the Human Reliability Work Package, and the System Notebook at a later date.
As stated in Reference 2, and as requested by 0 PPD, the database and any supplemental information shall be handled as " Proprietary" information.
If you should have any questicns or need additional information, please contact Mr. H. Alan Hackerott, Supervisor - System Analysis, at (402) 533-7276.
Sincerely,
