DPR-42 AND DPR-60 COMPLETION OF ACTIONS RELATED TO GENERIC LETTER 96-06 By letter, dated September 30, 2002, "Resolution of Generic Letter 96-06," NMC provided the information requested by the NRC in letter, dated April 24, 2002, regarding the closure activities for NRC Generic Letter (GL) 96-06 for the Prairie Island Nuclear Generating Plant. Specifically, the September 30, 2002, letter described the actions taken to address the items in Section 3.3 of the Safety Evaluation attached to the April 24, 2002, NRC letter. As noted in the September 30, 2002, letter, there were still some outstanding activities in progress related to the evaluation of some piping supports and site review of the pipe and support analyses. These activities are now complete. The results show that the piping and pipe supports satisfy their acceptance criteria as defined in the Safety Analysis Report.
This letter contains no new commitments and no revisions to existing commitments.
