Pursuant to 1 OCFR 21.21 (a)(2), Northern States Power Company, a Minnesota Corporation, (NSPM), doing business as Xcel Energy, hereby submits this interim report.
The deviation to be evaluated is the failed bench test of a thermal overload relay by General Electric (GE); model CR124C028, purchased under GE's 10CFR 50 Appendix B program. The contacts would not close and reset. They remained open with no continuity when the relay was mechanically reset. The failed relay has been sent to GE for evaluation. The evaluation will be completed no later than June 13,2018.
