Nuclear Power Division Beaver Valley Power Station FITNESS-FOR-DUTY REPORT PERFORMANCE DATA MRO SIX MONTH REPORT From January 1,1998, through June 30,1998, our records indicate, in the Pre-Access program category for the short-term contractor pool, one (1) refusal to test, by MRO adjudication, due to specimen adulteration.

PRE-ACCESS PROGRAM On March 11,1998, a short-term contractor provided a specimen that, by laboratory reporting, was unsuitable for THC testing, due to possible interference and nitrite positive. The MRO requested nitrite quantitation that was repoded at 3,795 ng./ml. A face-to-face interview was conducted, by the MRO, and the contractor employee admitted to adulteration of his sample and the prior use of marijuana. With this information, the MRO adjudicated the contractor employee as a refusal to test and unescorted access was denied.
