- cat Removal Pumps, dated October 7,1997.
The information requested in the generic letter will be submitted to the NRC by I
February 4,1998. This represents an additional 30 day period which is required to collect and assess the infonnation with respect to the request, and conduct additional calculations to develop the information which either is not currently available or not available in the fonn in _which it was requested. The basis for acceptability of this alternative schedule is that while containment overpressure is credited in the analysis, the current methodology used to calculate' net positive suction head did not include any assumptions of minimum containment pressure.
Sensitivity analyses have been l
performed to establish the limiting cases for these analyses. The methodology used at BVPS has not changed since the NRC issued an SER in August of 1980 on the subject analyses although some of the calculations may have been revised.
