Turkey Point Units 3 and 4 Dockets No. 50-250 and 50-251 Performance Enhancement Pro ram The purpose of this letter is to confirm the completion of the Florida Power and Light Company (FPL) Performance Enhancement Program (PEP). This letter updates information provided in FPL letter L-89-397, dated December 21, 1989.
PEP, as outlined in an FPL letter dated April 11, 1984, and confirmed by NRC Confirmatory Order EA-84-55, dated July 13, 1984, is complete.
Thc details of that completion were provided to NRC Region II personnel during an audit conducted at FPL's corporate Nuclear Division headquarters on June 15, 1992. A review of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission inspection report record for Turkey Point Units 3 and 4 subsequent to April 1984 confirms that all items required by the Confirmatory Order have been inspected and found to be complete.
An attachment lists each of the PEP projects and the NRC closure Inspection Report.
The closure documentation for these items is available for review on site.
The overall operations, maintenance, and management concepts which began with PEP have been included as part of the normal plant operating philosophy.
