St. Lucie Units 1 and 2 Docket Nos. 50-335 and 50-389 Post-Approval License Renewal Inspections Pursuant to the requirements of 10 CFR, Part 54, "Requirements for the Renewal of Operating Licenses for Nuclear Power Plants" and in accordance with NRC Inspection Manual, Inspection Procedure 71003, "Post-Approval Site Inspection for License Renewal", the conditions of the renewed Licenses for St. Lucie Unit 1 and St. Lucie Unit 2, and the NRC's safety evaluation report will be reviewed and inspected by the NRC.
Since the facility original operating license dates of issuance are approximately seven years apart (Unit 1 facility Operating License issued: - 3/1/1976; Unit 2 - 6/10/1983), Florida Power & Light Company (FPL) is preparing the required documentation for each unit's Post-renewal Inspections (PRIs) separately. The preparations for Unit 1's PRI are in progress.
The preparations for Unit 2's PRI are expected to commence in 2016.
