Perry Nuclear Power Plant Docket No. 50-440, License No. NPF-58 Emergency Response Data System (ERDS) Change to Current Virtual Private Network Pursuant to 10 CFR 50, Appendix E, Vl.3.b, the FirstEnergy Nuclear Operating Company (FENOC) is hereby notifying the Nuclear Regulatory Commission of its intent to implement a change to the Emergency Response Data System virtual private network (VPN) that is currently scheduled to take place on December 17, 2019.
The existing ERDS information flow path is through a VPN device located at a centralized corporate location with communication protocols reflecting this path.
FENOC intends to install a new VPN device, with associated communication protocols, at an on-site location at the Perry Nuclear Power Plant.
There are no regulatory commitments contained in this letter.
