Davis-Besse Nuclear Power Station, Unit 1 Docket Number 71-0195; Docket Number 50-346, License Number NPF-3 Renewal of Quality Assurance Program Approval 0195 The FirstEnergy Nuclear Operating Company's (FENOC) Quality Assurance Program Approval for radioactive material packages (Approval Number 0195, Revision Number 7) for the Davis-Besse Nuclear Power Station (DBNPS) will expire on August 31, 2009.
FENOC hereby requests renewal of the Quality Assurance Program Approval 0195 for radioactive material packages for the DBNPS within 30 days from the date of this letter.
The FENOC DBNPS utilizes its NRC-approved 10 CFR Part 50, Appendix B Quality Assurance Program for transportation shipments in excess of Type A quantities of radioactive material as required by 10 CFR 71.17 (b) and 10 CFR 71.101(f). The FENOC Quality Assurance Program Manual (QAPM) is incorporated by reference into the DBNPS Updated Safety Analysis Report (Docket Number 50-346). The FENOC QAPM was most recently submitted to the NRC by letter dated November 20, 2008, for the FENOC Beaver Valley Power Station, Unit Number 2 (Docket Number 50-412).
