BULLETIN 2003-04, "REBASELINING OF DATA IN THE NUCLEAR MATERIALS MANAGEMENT AND SAFEGUARDS SYSTEM,"
DATED OCTOBER 8, 2003 This letter provides TVA's response to the subject bulletin.
TVA recently submitted reports of special nuclear material inventories to NMMSS for our NRC-licensed plants on the following dates:
Browns Ferry Nuclear Plant (RIS Code XJD)
September 29, 2003 Sequoyah Nuclear Plant (RIS Code XLB)
July 23, 2003 Watts Bar Nuclear Plant (RIS Code XLC)
August 19, 2003 TVA considers that these reports meet the intent of NRC Bulletin 2003-04.
If the NMMSS database agrees with the inventory values reported in these reports, please send an email to the contact listed below noting this fact.
If the NMMSS database values differ from our reported values, please contact us and we will work with NMMSS to correct.the inconsistency.
TVA has also reviewed the NMMSS report for other RIS Codes assigned to TVA.
Several codes were identified that have zero holdings and they are:
Bellefonte Nuclear Plant (RIS Codes XLE and XLF)
TVA Laboratory Services (RIS Code YLL)
Mines Development (RIS Code YTU)
Chattanooga (RIS Code XIC)

NAC International Page 2 December. 18, 2003 Additional codes listed in NRC Directory D-3 that are assigned to TVA facilities include:
XDP and XFY for Browns Ferry XLA for Sequoyah XLD. for Watts Bar These codes have been consolidated with the ones listed above for each respective site.
Please confirm that your database reflects the zero holdings in these codes.
