Tho FitzPatrick Pipo Support inspection Program (PSIP) is now complete. Ali romaining pipo suppo:t inspections woro comploted during the 1990 refueling outago.

All supports in nood of rework or engincoring ovaluation have boon Idontiflod. The program's goal of ensuring that the pipo supports comply with applicablo Installation critoria havo boon mot.

Attachmont I summarizes the program. A total of 2851 pipo supports woro inspected. No pipe supports within the scopo of NRC Bulletins 79 02,79 07 and 7914 woro degradod to an extont that they throatoned system operability. However, five systems were temporarily declared inoperable as a result of problems with small boro pipo supports.

Many of the discropanclos that woro idontified during the inspoctions involved small acorrect details or minor wolding dofocts. In other casos, discropanclos resulted from design drawings which proscribed construction details that excooded Codo requiroments. Discrepancies like those have no offoct on the oporability of the support.

The A uthority will coordinato the pipo support rowork task with the FitzPatrick Inservico inspection (ISI) program, The p!po support rework task willincludo engineering evaluations, revisions to design drawings or the repair of loss significant deficienclos that do not impact operability. This will reduce the total personnel radiation doso (ALARA) and provido a significant cost savings by eliminating work that is duplicated by both the PSIP and the ISI programs. Drafting and engineering personnel will continue to supply those services necessary to completo the rework task. An estimato of 15,000 person-hours will complete the engineering and drafting activity. An estimato of 25,000 person hours will completo the rework task. This combined oflort will occur over the next six refueling outages.

The column labolod *NYPA Scopo* are additional supports in the FitzPatrick PSIP but not within the scopo of tho throo Bulletins. The total number of supports within any ono catogory is the sum of two columns.

(For examplo: the tota' number of supports in the PSIP is 2246 + 605 = 2851.)

Tho PSIP has cost approximatoly $9,000,000. An additional $3,000,000 will be investod to completo tho two taske engincoring requiring approximately $750,000 and rowork roquiririg apptoximatoly $2,250,CvJ. The program has consumod 185,000 person hours and rosultod in a total radiation exposuro of 185 person Rom.
