This application for an amendment to the James A..
FitzPatrick Operating License proposes to extend the duration of this license to forty (40)' years from the date of issuance of the full-power license.
The FitzPatrick Plant is currently licensed for operation for 40 years commencing with issuance of its construction' permit.

license term cf 40 years from the date of. issuance of the full power operating license is permitted under 10 CFR 50.51.
The FitzPatrir, license currently expires on May 20, 2010.
This amentaient application requests that the FitzPatrick operating license expiration date be' changed to October 17, 2014.
Enclosed for filing is the signed original of a document titled " Application for Amendment.to Operating License," with Attachments I and II, comprising a' statement of the proposed change to the operating license and the associated Safety Evaluation.
In accordance with 10 CFR 50.91, a copy of this application and the associated attachments is being provided to the designated New York State Official.
