Dear Sir or Madam:
Entergy has revised the James A. FitzPatrick Nuclear Power Plant Physical Security Plan (PSP) in accordance with 10 CFR 50.54(p)(2). Revision 9 was made effective on March 25, 2011. That revision 1) revised the number of armed responders and armed security officers; and 2) added an armored vehicle patrol to the middle defense.
Revision 10 was made effective on April 18, 2011. This revision 1) added a Security Owner Controlled Area description and functions; and 2) added a vibration detection system as an element of the intrusion detection system. Since Revision 10 was made effective within the 60-day notification period described in 10 CFR 50.54(p)(2) this transmittal summarizes changes made in both revisions 9 and 10.
In accordance with 10 CFR 50.4(b)(4), the revised PSP (Revision 10) is enclosed with this letter (Attachment 1). contains Safeguards Information as defined in 10 CFR 73.2. Entergy, therefore, requests that this attachment be withheld from public disclosure. Please inventory the contents of this letter and return the Document Receipt Form to Mr.
Jonathan LaPlante, Security Manager, James A. FitzPatrick Nuclear Power Plant.
