No special training is required for any documents issued with this Change Notice.
REMARKS:
IMC 1245, "Qualification Program for Reactor Inspectors." Provided enhanced guidance concerning the process used to document the status of inspector and examiner initial, and subsequent qualifications in TMS and ADAMs. Removed the section that provided training guidance for individuals who were qualified as inspectors prior to 2002 and let their qualifications lapse, as this section is unlikely to be used in the future. Provided additional guidance concerning when DRO should be notified of potential training weaknesses identified during a qualification board.
IMC 1245 Appendix A, "Basic Level Training and Qualification Journal." This revision removed discussions of TG 9900 and updated several hyperlinks that were no longer functioning. In response to the 2023 Data Strategy study outlined in ML24068A122, ISA-9 was modified to introduce inspectors to some of the data analytics tools that are available to inspectors during the inspection processes.
Several references were also updated. The changes did not have a substantive impact on the scope of the inspector training program.
