The inspection was an examination of the activities conducted under your license as they relate to radiation safety and to compliance with the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) rules and regulations and the conditions of your licens The inspection consisted of selective examinations of procedures and representative records, interviews with personnel, and observations by the inspecto The inspection findings are as follows:

Euclid Avenue St. Louis, MO 63110-1093 This was an announced, non-routine, inspection of a broad-scope university located in St. Louis, Missouri, to observe the decommissioning of a ViewRay teletherapy uni This inspection was performed concurrently with inspections of ViewRay, a State of Ohio licensee operating under reciprocity, and Best Theratronics, NRC License No. 45-31299-0 These two companies performed the decommissioning of the unit and the shipping of the source The licensee communicated their plans to decommission the unit with the NRC, including updates when the schedule change PERFORMANCE OBSERVATIONS The inspector toured the facility to evaluate the licensee's measures for material security, hazard communication, and exposure control, and observed how the licensee met the requirements of securing and controlling access to the sources after their removal from the ViewRay uni The inspector conducted independent and confirmatory surveys, and found no residual contamination or exposures to members of the public in excess of regulatory limit No violations of NRC requirements were identified as a result of this inspection.
