EXECUTIVE SUMMARY St. Lucie Nuclear Plant, Units 1 & 2 NRC Inspection Repod Nos. 50-335/99-11,50-389/99-11 This routine, announced inspec0on was conducted in the area of plant support by a Regional Safeguards inspector. The specific area evaluated was the Physical Security Program for Power Reactor .
The licensee appropriately notified employees to report arrests as require The licensee's initial justification for changing response weapons did not contain sufficient information to support making the change under the provisions of 10 CFR 50.S4(p). Adequate justification was subsequently provide Unresolved item 50-335,50-389/99-10-01 was closed based on documentation reviewed that did not substantiate that violations of the Physical Security Plan occurred. A subsequent Operational Safeguards Response Evaluation demonstrated that the licensee had an effective strategy that could protect vital equipment from radiological sabotag .
