05000315/2012406(DNMS), 05000316/2012406(DNMS), AND 07200072/2012002(DNMS)

Dear Mr. Weber:

On May 16, 2012, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) completed an initial security inspection of the physical security program for the independent spent fuel storage installation (ISFSI) at the D.C. Cook Nuclear Plant (DCCNP), Bridgman, Michigan. The purpose of the inspection was to evaluate whether the protection of the ISFSI was in compliance with the DCCNP Physical Security Plan (PSP), NRC regulations and the NRC Security Order EA-11-039, Implementation of Additional Security Measures (ASMs) and Fingerprinting for Unescorted Access for DCCNP ISFSI, issued April 6, 2011. At the conclusion of the onsite inspection on May 16, 2012, the inspectors discussed the inspection findings with members of your security, licensing, and ISFSI project management staff.

Based on the results of this inspection, no findings of significance were identified.

In accordance with Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) 2.390 of the NRCs Rules of Practice, a copy of this letter will be available electronically for public inspection in the NRC Public Document Room or from the NRC's Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS), accessible from the NRC Web site at http://www.nrc.gov/

reading-rm/adams.html. However, because of the security-related discussion contained in the enclosure, and in accordance with 10 CFR 2.390, a copy of this letters enclosure will not be available for public inspection.

Enclosure Contains Sensitive Unclassified Non-Safeguards Information. When separated from enclosure, this transmittal document is decontrolled.
