INSPECTION NO. 50-225/94-01 This letter refers to Dr. Clesceri's July 21, 1995 correspondence, in response to our July 18, 1994 letter and July 11, 1995 telephone conversation.

Thank you for informing us of the corrective and preventive actions documented in* your letter, including the evaluation of radiation safety staffing,_

committed to in the above report, and your decision to fill the position of Assistant Radiation Safety Officer {ARSO) for campus and critical facility duties. This staffing will satisfy the commitments in your Safety Analysis and Safety Evaluation Reports for the critical facility. Please continue to keep us informed as to the status of recruitment of the ARSO.

These actions will be examined during a future inspection of your licensed program.
