entries into the containment buildings of these facilities are made to check for abnormal conditions and conduct radiological surveys as rer;dited by their respective Technical Specifications (TS) and/or License Ccnditions.

Annual Reports are also submitted to the NRC for each of the

'

facilities.

'

Entries into the VBWR and GETR have been annually and entries into EVESR were semi-annually.

By License Amendment No. 4, dated January 14, 1988, the licensee was granted authorization to perform the EVESR entries annually.

The inspector verified that the licensee's staff was performing the surveillances and radiological surveys required by their respective TS and/or License Conditions since the last inspection of these facilities

- (November.1-3, 1987).

Radiological surveys included air sampling, contamination and radiation level measurements at specific locations within each facility.

Annual radiological survey data was noted to be

,

consistent with previous years recorded data.

'

Annual Reports For 1987 and 1988 from each of the facilities were also revioed.

Each report provided the status of each facility and radi,,ogical surveys as required by their respective TS and/or License Conditions.

No errors or anomalies were identified.

The licensee's 1989 annuai entry into these facilities was made on October 26, 1989.

On September 19, 1989, the licensee informed the Region V Office of their planned entry; however, due to previous commitments, the regional inspector was unable accompany the licensee during their annual inspection.

However, the inspector toured the areas exterior to the containment buildings. During these tours, the inspector made independent radiation measurements using an Eberline R0-2 portable
