INSPECTION NO. 150-00004/99-005
Dear Mr. Shepherd:
On April 26 and 27,1999, James Bondick of this office conducted a safety inspection ct Wyeth-Lederle Vaccines and Pediatrics, Malvem, Pennsylvania of activities authorized by the above listed Califomia license. Your activities in NRC jurisdiction are authorized by a condition in your license. The inspection was an examination of your licensed activities as they relate to
radiation safety and to compliance with the Commission's regulations and the license conditions.

The inspection consisted of observations by the inspector, interviews with personnel, and a selected examination of representative records. The findings of the inspection were discussed with Mary Shepherd of your organization by telephone on April 28,1999.
Within the scope of this inspection, no violations were identified.
In accordance with Section 2.790 of the NRC's " Rules and Practices," Part 2, Title 10, Code of Federal Regulations, a copy of this letter will be placed in the Public Document Room. No reply to this letter is required.
