Letter GO2-94-221, dated September 26, 1994, JV Parrish (SS) to NRC, same subject The reference provided supplementary information to support an increase in licensed power level.
Included with the reference were proposed changes to the WNP-2 Technical Specifications and Bases.
An error has been identified in the proposed statement for Bases 3/4.2.6, "Power/Flow Instability." Attachment 1 indicates the corrections to the proposed Bases 3/4.2.6. is a replacement page for proposed Bases 3/4.2.6.
Apart of this Bases discusses how the power/flow map is divided into several regions ofvarying concern (Regions A, B and C) as recommended by the General Electric Service Information Letter (SIL) 380.
Both regions A and C were discussed in the 3/4.2.6 Bases provided by the reference.
The discussion of how Region C was determined is correct but should not have been discussed in context with Figure 3.2.6-1 because this figure is for Region A only. The attached replacement page for Bases 3/4.2.6 corrects this error.
