Reference:

Letter G02-93-198, dated July 30, 1993, J. V. Parrish to NRC, "WNP-2 Operating License NPF-21, NRC Inspection Report 92-41, Amended Response to Notice of Violation" The reference responded to the issue of WNP-2 licensed material in the Cooling Tower Sediment.

The Supply System is providing a copy of the final report by J. S. Bland Associates, Inc., which updates the draft report provided to the NRC Inspectors during their earlier visit.

This report is being formally transmitted for review by Region V.

This report provided our basis for determining that the radioactivity detected in our Cooling Tower Sediments is not of WNP-2 Plant origin.

This report now represents the Supply System's officialposition on the origin of radioactivity in the Cooling Tower.
