This is the sixteenth Progress Report on the actions we have taken in re-gard to our caanitments in Reference a), and covers the activities of our Quality Verification Program (QVP) during the period of July through September, 1983.

At a meeting with NRC Region V representatives at WNP-2, recorded in Reference b), a number of new ~tments were made to respond to your questions.

The QVP developed a schedule for completing the newly ccm-mitted actions and preparing the Overview Report in early Septal~.

Those actions have been ccmpleted and reported, and the QVP Overview Report. is issued herewith.

The report provides a summary of all the acti-vities of the Program, frcm its inception through ccmpletion of the recently-added tasks of NDE verification, special prepurchase and in-active contracts review and inspection, and analysis of CAT team findings.

The past quarter year has been dedicated to accanplishing these tasks and preparing the reports.

The Overview Report provides a descriptive sugary, conclusions, and over-all results of the Program.

All of the lower-level, detailed reports have been prepared and reviewed, but, not every one has been finally-approved and issued.

This work proceeds, along with preparation of the sumery task

reports, and vaulting of the Program records, and is ~ted to be com-pleted in another month.

No new information will be recorded in the sunmary task reports.

These are a collection of general information fran individual tasks (description, methodology, results) that is broadly sunaerized in the Overview Report.

We have ccmpleted the cxmnitments made in response to your 50.54(f) re-quest (Reference a), therefore, please consider the enclosure to be our final Progress Report. I am 'enclo'i'ng herewith six copies of the QVP Overview Report for your information and use.
