2 WNP-2 CONTAINMENT PROTECTIVE COATINGS In response to a telephone call with F. Witt of your staff, the following information is provided describing the WNP-2 Containment Protective Coat-ings:

WNP-2 has intended by contract specifications that no unqualified coating on equipment or structures exists in the WNP-2 Containment.

- However, WNP-2 has implemented a program to verify that the speci-fications have been complied with.
The results of this program will be available by March 1, 1982.
At that time an estimate of the amount of unqualified coatings in containment will be submitted.
~
WNP-2 will do an analysis on the effect of unqualified coating re-lated debris on emergency cooling system operation.
If required, by that analysis, WNP-2 will remove a sufficient amount of unquali-fied coating to eliminate any potential impact on the Emergency Core Cooling System.
