| Event Description | The following information was provided by the licensee via email followed by phone call:
At approximately 1043 CDT, the Quad Cities Main Control Room was notified that the Scott County Iowa warning sirens were activated in error at 1001 CDT. The sirens were not intentionally activated to notify the public of severe weather or pending emergency. This event is reportable per 10 CFR 50.72(b)(2)(xi), News Release or Notification of Other Government Agencies. This is a 4-Hour Reporting requirement. The Quad Cities NRC Resident has been notified. |
