| Title | Prompt Notification System Not Available |
| Event Description | The licensee was informed by the Jacksonville, FL National Weather Service that the NOAA Prompt Notification System was not operational. Plant Hatch utilizes the NOAA system to broadcast prompt emergency notifications. Hatch will use radio and phone notifications as a backup (if needed) until the NOAA system is restored. No information was available on the cause of the NOAA system outage or when it would be returned to service.
The license has notified the Georgia Emergency Management Agency, the local authorities, and will notify the NRC Resident Inspector.
