Saxton Nuclear Experimental Corporation (SNEC)
Operating License No., DPR-4 Docket No 50-146 Submittal of Information in Support of Dose Modeling The purpose of this letter is to submit new information in support of SNEC's dose models. This information was not available at our last meeting, held on August 29, 2002. At that time we were awaiting preliminary comments from the NRC on previously submitted dose-modeling documentation.
The new information will be referenced in Revision 1 of the SNEC License Termination Plan (LTP),
Chapter 6. The LTP is scheduled to be sent to you by September 30, 2002. The following is a list of the new information:
- 1) SNEC Calculation 6900-02-008, "SNEC Facility DCGL Values for Volumetric Contamination," September 2002. This document provides a summary of information that has already been provided to the NRC In addition, it provides Area Factor values that will be used for the SNEC surface volumetric model A CD-ROM is provided to verify area factor calculations The RESRAD 6.1 computer software must be used to verify CD ROM information.
- 2) Rogers & Associates Engineering Branch, URS Corporation, "Calculation of the Sub Surface DCGLs for the Saxton Nuclear Experimental Corporation Site", RAE-42613-003 4R1, September 20, 2002. This is the final summary report describing the subsurface modeling performed at SNEC.
