Dear Commissioners and Staff:

In accordance with Technical Specification (TS) 5.6.1, "Annual Reports," PG&E is submitting the annual tabulation of exposure to radiation for 2002.

TS 5.6.1 requires an annual report that includes a tabulation of the number of station, utility, and other personnel receiving exposure greater than 100 millirem per year and their associated exposure according to work and job function. The information is provided in accordance with the standard format of Regulatory Guide 1.16.

  • The "Number of Personnel" listed in the upper section of the table, are the number of personnel in the department receiving > 100 mRem. However, their entire dose was not necessarily received on a single Job Function The personnel may have received their dose from multiple Job Functions. Therefore, depending on how many jobs contributed to their dose, the same person may be counted multiple times in the lower "totals" section of the table.
