C Summary of Management Actions

~ Ending December 31,1994 '

j During the last six months of 1994, we have had 17 positive pre-badging tests; all were on -

4 T contract personnel and all of these applications for unescorted access were denied for fitness for duty reasons /

There were 3 positive random tests in the second Ikalf of.1994. One BECo, employee was -

positive for alcohol. His unescorted access was suspended until he completed appropriate _

rehabilitation. Since his retum to work he has repeatedly been negativ_e in follow-up tests.

g The other 2 positive random tests were on contract personnel, one of whom was positive for p

marijuana and the other for cocaine. Both had unescorted access authorization terminated.

and were referred to their employers for further action.

F

~

Three 'for cause" tests were done in this time period. One was on a contractor who was positive for alcohol and whose unescorted access was terminated, and two were on licensee.

employees, one of whom was positive for. marijuana and who was referred to EAP along with j

having his unescorted access terminated.~

There have been no events which were reportable to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission by telephone as required in 10 CFR 26.73.

1 Over the six months ending December 31,1994, 36 specimens were found on integrity check j

to have creatinines less than 200 mgms per liter. 'All of the individuals were called for repeat specimen collection in an unannounced fashion. 28 of the repeats were negative for drugs :.

s and had normalintegrity checks.' 8 specimens again had low creatinines, although negative M-for ~drugsc These individuals were again called in an unannounced fashion, and another 3

observed sample was obtained; all of these were negative for drugs.

The positive test rate during random testing for this six-month period is 0.48%.

The Fitnecs for Duty Program has encountered no significant problems over this six-month 7

~ time period.
