Millstone Nuclear Power Station Unit 3 Millstone Unit 3 Readiness-for-Restart Schedule 4

Northeast Nuclear Energy Company (NNECO) in a letter dated December 31, 1996, provided the NRC Staff with the schedule for the completion of Millstone Unit No. 3 Group 1 and Group 2 systems' System Specific Assessments (SSAs).

Additionally, NNECO committed to keep the NRC informed on our progress.

The purpose of this letter is to update the information contained in o7 December j

31,1996 letter. The current schedule has one-half of the Group I systems' SSAs i

planned for completion before the end of April 1997, and the completion of the review of these SSA's by our Nuclear Oversight organization by May 8,1997.

The current schedule indicates that the beginning of the Independent Corrective Action Verification Program will begin on May 9,1997 which will modify our l-commitment B16118-1 to May 1997. The remaining Group I and Group ll systems' SSAs are scheduled for completion by mid-July 1997.
