Gentlemen:
Millstone Nuclear Power Station, Unit No. 2 Revision (2) to the Updated Final Safety Analysis Report In Reference (1), Northeast Nuclear Energy Company (NNECO) submitted the initial updated Final Safety Analysis Report (FSAR) for Millstone Unit No. 2, in fulfillment of 10CFR50.71(e).
This rule further requires that subsequent revisions to the FSAR shall be filed no less frequently than annually, and shall reflect all changes up to a maximum of six months prior to the date of filing. In Reference (2), NNECO submitted Revision (1) to the FSAR.
Pursuant to 10CFR50.71(e)(4), NNECO hereby presents the Staff with Revision (2) to the FSAR.
This revision accurately presents changes made since the previous l
submittal (Reference (2)), necessary to reflect information and analyses submitted to the Commission or prepared pursuant to commission requirements as of December 31,1983. Emergency Plan changes have been submitted to the NRC within thirty days of their implementation, pursuant to the requirements of 10CFR50.54(a).
It is noted that 10CFR50.71(e)(2Xii) stipulates that "The submittal shall include an identification of changes made under the provisions of 50.59 but not previously submitted to the Commission." Pursuant to 10CFR50.59(b) and DPR-65, Appendix A, Section 6.9.5.1, the latest 50.59 report for Millstone Unit No. 2 was submitted in Reference (3) for the period of January 1,1983 through December 31, 1983. All changes to the facility tnrough December 31, 1983 which fall under the provisions of 50.59, have been previously submitted to the Commission.
