Cook Nuclear Plant (CNP) Units 1 and 2, submitted to Michigan Department of Environmental Quality (MDEQ) a notification of increased chloride concentration at Monitoring Well 19, for Groundwater Permit GW1810102. By Reference 2, l&M provided Reference 1 to the NRC in accordance with CNP's Environmental Protection Plan, Section 5.4.2., "Routine Reports."
- By Reference 3, l&M submitted to MDEQ a follow up notification to Reference 1.
The follow up notification for resampling of Monitoring Well 19 identified that the chloride concentration was below the level of concern listed in 324.3109e of Act 451, No additional sampling or actions are planned for this issue:
Reference 3 is provided, as an enclosure to this letter, in accordance with CNP's Environmental Protection Plan, Section 5.4.2., "Routine Reports."

On September 1, 2016 we resampled downgradient monitoring well 19 for chloride.
The chloride concentration was 50.6 mg/l.
Which is below the level of concern listed in 324.3109e of Act 451.
No additional sampling or actions are planned for this issue.
