SUBJECT:

Grand Gulf Nuclear Station Units 1 and 2 Docket Nos. 50-416 and 50-417 License No. NPF-29 File: 0260/16684/0240 Ref: AECM-86/0085 Nuclear Property Insurance AECM-86/0104 In the referenced letter, dated March 31, 1986 Mississippi Power & Light Company (MP&L) reported the nucient property insurance coverage in effect at Grand Gulf Nuclear Station as required by 10 CFR 50.54(w). MP&L also transmitted certificates documenting that coverage with the exception of that provided by Nuclear Mutual Limited (NML).

As a certificate of coverage could not be obtained from NML in time to meet the April 1,1986 requiremer.t of 10 CFR 50.54(w), MP&L notified the Nuclear Regulatory Commission of the amount of coverage and stated that the NML certificate would be transmitted by May 1, 1986.

Please find attached the current certificate of coverage by NML.

than $100,000 which is payable to Middle South Energy, Inc.) to United States Trust Company of New York as its interests may appear in accordance with the mortgage and deed of trust between Middle South Energy, Inc. and United States Trust Company of New York and Malcolm J. Hood, trustees; and the receipt of the payee so designated shall constitute a release in full of all liability with respect to such loss.

NUCLEAR MUTUAL LIMITED by giving 10 days written notice to the party to whom this Certificate is issued prior to cancellation of the insurance described herein.
