SUBJECT:
Arkansas Nuclear One - Unit 2 Docket No. 50-368 License No. NPF-6 Correction of CPC Software Discrepancy Gentlemen:
The following is prcvided to document our conversation on October 11, 1983, between Messers. R. Lee and L. Phillips and Messers T. Mansell, T. Enos, et al of AP&L.
Our letter dated May 31, 1983, (2CAN058305) discussed our intention to perform a CPC software modification to correct a discrepancy in the LPD penalty factor.
As discussed in that letter, this discrepancy does not involve a safety issue; however, AP&L has chosen to make the correction as a matter of prudence. That letter also discussed our schedule for implementation.
During the above conversation, we repeated our schedule for implementation of the software correction as follows:
The software will be modified prior to initial reactor criticality for Cycle 5.
This schedule is not contingent on the schedule for any other CPC software changes.
