SUMMARY
JULY 1987 UNIT TWO The unit began the month at 100% full. power.
At 1506 hours0.0174 days <br />0.418 hours <br />0.00249 weeks <br />5.73033e-4 months <br /> on the sixth, a unit shutdown was initiated due to a leak at a pressurizer heater plug weld.
The plug had been installed in May, 1987 following removal of the failed heater.
Following repairs, at 1651 hours0.0191 days <br />0.459 hours <br />0.00273 weeks <br />6.282055e-4 months <br /> on the sixteenth, a power escalatica was begun.
The unit held at 29% powar for approximately thirty hours for a boric acid soak of the steem generators, and then escalated on to 100% full power which was attained at 1143 hours0.0132 days <br />0.318 hours <br />0.00189 weeks <br />4.349115e-4 months <br /> on the nineteenth.
The unit remained at 100% full power through the end of the month.
