SUMMARY

DECEMBER 1985 UNIT TWO The unit began the month at 100% power.

At 1430 hours0.0166 days
0.397 hours
0.00236 weeks
5.44115e-4 months
on the fifth, power was decreased to ~ 60% due to a suspected feedwater heater extraction line expansion joint failure.

Upon verification of the failure, power was reduced and the unit was taken off line at 2110 hours0.0244 days
0.586 hours
0.00349 weeks
8.02855e-4 months
on the sixth.

During the shutdown, two expansion joints were replaced.

At 0738 hours0.00854 days
0.205 hours
0.00122 weeks
2.80809e-4 months
on the fifteenth, the unit was placed back on line.

Power was increased to 30% and held there for a boric acid soak of the steam generators.

Power was briefly reduced to ~ 25% to isolate "B" main feedwater regulating valve.

At 2300 hours0.0266 days
0.639 hours
0.0038 weeks
8.7515e-4 months
on the seventeenth, a power escalation was begun, and 100% power was attained at 1428 hours0.0165 days
0.397 hours
0.00236 weeks
5.43354e-4 months
on December eighteenth.

The unit remained at 100% power through the erd of the month.
