SUMMARY

- JUNE 1983 dllli l The unit started the month at apprcximately 60% full power while going through power escalation frcm a shutdown which had occurred the previous month.

This unit attained 100% full power operation on June 7 and operated there until June 9.

At 1349 hours0.0156 days
0.375 hours
0.00223 weeks
5.132945e-4 months
on June 9, the unit tripped on loss of both main feecwater (MFW) pumps.

The trir was caused by a spurious AC signal sent to the suction pressure indicators.

The reactor was brought critical again on June 11 at 1203 hours0.0139 days
0.334 hours
0.00199 weeks
4.577415e-4 months
, and the turbine was tied to the grid at 1754 hours0.0203 days
0.487 hours
0.0029 weeks
6.67397e-4 months
.

The unit attained 100% full power operation on June 14 and operated there until June 16.

At 2016 hours0.0233 days
0.56 hours
0.00333 weeks
7.67088e-4 months
on June 16, the unit tripped due to a failure of the main turbine generator exciter.

The unit remained shutdown until June 30 when plant heatup was begun.

The unit was brought critical on July 1.
