SUMMARY
APRIL 1984 UNIT 1 The unit started the month in cold shutdown in continuation of the mid-cycle steam generator-inspection outage.
Plant heatup No. 671 was begun on April 10th, with the. reactor being brought critical at 2312 hours0.0268 days
0.642 hours
0.00382 weeks
8.79716e-4 months
on April 11th..The main generator was tied on line at 0816 hours0.00944 days
0.227 hours
0.00135 weeks
3.10488e-4 months
on April 12th.
The unit attained 100% full power at 1315 hours0.0152 days
0.365 hours
0.00217 weeks
5.003575e-4 months
on April 14th.
At 1612 hours0.0187 days
0.448 hours
0.00267 weeks
6.13366e-4 months
, on April 21st, the reactor tripped on high RCS pressure.
The trip was caused by a loss of feedwater which was due to an inadvertent trip of the "A" main feedwater pump.
An I&C technician was in the process of bypassing the axial thrust trip on the pump when he accidentally shorted across two terminals, actuating the pump trip circuit.
A normal trip recovery followed.
The reactor was again brought critical at 2216 hours0.0256 days
0.616 hours
0.00366 weeks
8.43188e-4 months
the same day with the unit being tied on line at 0658 hours0.00762 days
0.183 hours
0.00109 weeks
2.50369e-4 months
on April 22nd.
The unit attained 100%
full power operation at 0740 hours0.00856 days
0.206 hours
0.00122 weeks
2.8157e-4 months
on April 23rd and remained there through the end of the month.
