ANO-1 Simulator Performance Testing Report l
Gentlemen.
Entergy Operations is submitting the enclosed performance testing report in accordance with 10CFR55.45(b)(5)(ii). This report is required to be submitted every four years on the anniversary of the initial simulator certification, January 17,1991.
Discrepancies identified during the initial simulator performance test have been corrected in j
accordance with the Simulator Modification Control Guidelines which are included m Section 1 of the attachment to this letter.
l At the time of the initial simulator performance test, one exception was taken to ANSI /ANS 3.5-1985. This exception, which is stated in Section 2 of the attachment, has not been changed.
Plant modifications which were installed in the past four years and were determined to affect j
the simulator's appearance and fidelity have been incorporated in accordance with the Simulator Modification Control Guidelines. As of this date, there are twelve additional plant modifications which need to be incorporated. These plant modifications will be incorporated into the ANO-1 plant reference simulator in accordance with the guidance as stated in ANSI /ANS 3.5-1985. A listing of plant modifications is provided in Section 3 of the attachment.

Simulator; operability tests have been conducted on an annual basis and meet the requirements of ANSI /ANS 3.5 1985. The te^g was conducted in the following manner:

Real-time Test (Annual) -

Normal Operations Test (25% per year) 3.
Steady State Operations (Annually) 4.
Surveillance Test (25% per year) 5.
Transient Test (Annually) 6.
Malfunction Test (25% per year)
A perfor ranci *ast was also conducted after extensive model changes were performed for the Reas tor Cochen. stem (RCS), Reactor Core, and Once Through Steam Generators.
