By letter dated December 2, 2005 (OCNA120501), Entergy received a 'Demand for Information" pertaining to Arkansas Nuclear One, Units 1 and 2. Pursuant to the etter, Entergy is required to file an answer, under oath or affirmation, within thirty-five days, i.e.,
on or before January 6, 2006.
Developing responses to the Demand for Information will require the collection of information from, and verification by, numerous sources, as well as analyses. This, coupled with the intervening holidays, will make compliance with the schedule extremely difficult.
Accordingly, Entergy requests a'riadditiohnaI two weeks within which to respond, i.e., until January 20, 2006. 'Granting of the extension of time will not delay the substantive adoption of strategies and,:therefore, will ha'ie' noradverse impact on safety. In addition, efforts directed at ideritifyirig additiohal'strategies under ongoing Phase 3 activities will not be affected.
