Tri-annual Evaluated Force-on-Force Cycle Schedule Arkansas Nuclear One - Units 1 and 2 NRC Docket Nos. 50-313 and 50-368 Renewed Facility Operating License Nos. DPR-51 and NPF-6 Entergy Operations, Inc. (Entergy) is reaching out to the Nuclear Security Incident and Response (NSIR) team of the NRC to formally request a schedule change to the Tri-annual Evaluated Force-on-Force (EFOF) Cycle Schedule for Arkansas Nuclear One (ANO). This is being requested because the current ANO EFOF Cycle Schedule occurs in the same years that the site has both spring and fall refueling outages.
The necessary site resources, especially from an ANO staffing perspective, is challenging for the Security Department during a dual outage year concurrently with having an EFOF in that same year. Entergy is requesting to move the next ANO EFOF inspection from 2024, to the second half of 2023. Going forward, Entergy recommends a subsequent tri-annual cycle schedule of 2023, 2026, 2029, etc.
